I stopped going to LA Galaxy matches when
they moved out of the Rose Bowl. Parking
Was $5 and general admission tix were $10.
Yeah, that’s complete rubbish. Greed has gotten out of control in our society thanks to letting the super-wealthy create all the rules.
“growing the game”
The irony in all this is that MLS owners in particular have held back MLS’s growth for decades because to them, making money is more important than say investment, fan service, fan enjoyment, improvement in quality, etc.
USL > MLS ๐
Hopefully USL gets into all the markets that canโt support a half billion dollar franchise, introduce promotion relegation and multiple divisions, and then the football purists will have an alternative
I was laughing at what secondary market prices were last season. People were supposedly paying more to see him play one MLS match than I’d paid to see him multiple times in Barcelona. Not sure what prices are these days, but that’s you’re flight right there with what the Crew are charging.
Me personally, I’m going to fly to LA to see Riqui play. Get those club seats or whatever where you can sit at the bar and watch the players come out pre-match. Plus I’ll save a ton on dinners as I’ll have Zizou, JR, Xavi and Santi all take me out on separate nights.

I live in a USL city. Iโve watched them on tv a few times but Iโm spoiled on euro football so I havenโt gone to see them live. Even MLS football is not appealing, USL less so.
Agreed actually, the level and style of play isnโt great , but I think if it grows to multiple divisions, introduces pro/rel and provides a pathway to professional for younger players (and alternative to college soccer which is soso much worse), then the sport wins . And itโll push the mls hopefully to be better
