Not sure if that means it’s being considered but I Disagree with kicking players out of the league. I traded for Mendy on the hope that he would not be convicted But it didn’t work out and it was my decision to cut him even though he would have been a definite starter for Spurs. It sucks all around, But I think it should be up to the owner, that’s just my two cents

Well I would obviously drop him if he’s convicted. He most likely will and that fucking sucks because he’s money in the sim.

I don’t think I need to do the “noble” thing and drop him or not use him until the end of the season especially since it screws my chances at a title.

If most of us are ok to kill innocent lives in a video game like Call of Duty (see the level “No Russian”) then I think starting a player accused (not convicted) of rape doesn’t mean one condones such behaviour.

No one was dropping Ronaldo or Neymar when they were accused of rape…

It’s just a game guys and it’s innocent until proven guilty. Relax.

The only ineligible players are retired, dead or playing in leagues not supported by FM.

Owners are free to bid on and use all other eligible players. Even if that player is a piece of shit.

Just take a look at Pepe. People have been using him forever and look at him! I wouldn’t even let him watch my dog.

Does being arrested mean you actually did the crime now? In 2018 and 2019, people were pretty sure Ronaldo did it and were calling for his head and I’m sure if he set foot in the US, the cops would want a word. Callum Hudson-Odoi was arrested for rape and was subsequently cleared as well, no one was clamoring for him to be dropped before he was cleared. What Greenwood allegedly did is disgusting, not only rape but the physical and mental abuse he inflicted on the victim. I hope justice is served.

There are tax evaders, blackmailers, cheaters and all kinds of assholes (not necessarily on the pitch) in football , that doesn’t mean we would condone any of their behaviors. Yes rape is definitely more egregious and as I said I will drop him if he’s convicted (all signs point to yes) just like how I dropped Eremenko for his cocaine use. I didn’t wait for FM to drop him.

My two cents : you can keep Greenwood as long as you want even if he scores 10 goals a season on my team.
He’s a piece of trash but this is a fantasy league based on a fantasy game.
Dropping him or not is hardly a symbol.

For my money Kawai can use Mendy too.
