Now, yes I hate being countered, but certainly don’t hate the counteree. It’s a fucking fantasy game using a fantasy engine.

Yeah you informed me that you were planning to counter and offered an amount to take Soppy. I didn’t want to trade him so instead of losing out on him I increased my bid so it increased my chances of acquiring him. I got a reliable RB who has helped me win 2 titles…yeah, I’m really regretting it.

What did you expect me to do?

I’ve also warned people that I’m planning to counter so I try to come to deal (see: Moriba). But I’ve never countered 23+ hours after because that’s really annoying. It’s not against the rules but that also doesn’t means I can’t be annoyed at the situation (as xavi put it as well)

And yes, it’s “annoyed”, not “raging”, “flaming”, “overreacting”, etc. I voice my mild annoyance and will post a joke gif along with it. That’s all.

Stop making it seem I’m screaming at the top of my lungs that I’ve just heen countered.

And I didn’t say I hated any counteree. It’s purely and simply an annoying situation to be in.

Ok, you didn’t lose your shit when you said “what the fuck is this shit” at draw, but are you denying that you whine about other stuff? Because that was genuinely the reason I made the remark.

I repeat it wasn’t meant to be an insult or personal attack. If you took it that way, then I apologise for the misunderstanding. But that’s as far as I’ll go. I shouldn’t have to apologise for joking about something.

I have NEVER flamed anyone about losing a match, getting countered or something going against me.

Yes I have voiced my annoyance at losing a match when the engine fucks me over (but not after every loss) or when getting countered 3 days in a row. And this is a complete lie that its each time I get countered or when you counter me. Zizou countered me on Urbig, did I complain?

I too have lost out on players I’ve wanted (Gavi, Fati, etc.), I wasn’t “overdramatic” about shit.

Oh so when I’m “annoyed” I lost a game after double the xG, it’s raging, whining and being dramatic. When it’s you, it’s fine.

And yes, countering your own bid after someone offered you more money to counter you out of curtousy is a total dick move. No other way to say it.
Nobody else has done it before. Just you. I’m happy you are happy with that dick move. Be proud. It’s OK, you play “fuck you” ways, you play “fuck you ways”. Totally fine. Except when you whine about 23rd hours counters. Then it’s just plain ridiculous and petty coming from a guy who counters his own bids and tells people they are whiners.

But yeah X should find a way to explain me how I should do when I try to play fair game I get trapped by a dick move.

Sorry mate, but I have to comment here and I’m going to disagree though please know this isn’t directed at you personally but rather the sentiment.

Notify the original bidder? I would think whomever came up with that one is too embarrassed to own up to it. “Hey pal, I’m going to counter you so go ahead and raise your original bid.” Smart strategy that, and yes, this is a competition the last time I checked. Now, I will say notifying after the fact is a nice to do.

As for waiting 23 hours, I can’t believe this is still a topic for discussion. I did this yesterday to Zooka, who I LOVE having in our league and who I chat with more than most and pretty regularly, and it was simply because I had to wait for my prior bid to clear. If the same happened to me, so be it. Not the counterbidders fault. And it’s happened to me.

Yeah, suffering a counter sucks, whether it’s minute 23 or hour 23. Well guess what. That’s the game! You don’t like it? Make your original bid higher. Lobby for the rule to be changed. Shut up and get over it. Quit. Take your pick, but the rule is the rule is the rule. I’ve been countered at hour 23 well into a window (which NO ONE made a peep about) and I didn’t have a fit or send nasty PMs. I’ve also been countered for millions and millions by guys I talk to all the time and I still talk to them regularly.

I don’t understand why there’s so much angst over counters of any kind. Again, plenty of options if you don’t like it, but don’t take it out on somebody making a good faith counter within the rules.
