every time I see something about George Best, I think – “why didn’t my dad take me to see him play when he was in LA?” It baffles me. My dad just never got interested in NASL and it was before I started following football. He once took me to see Pele play an exhibition match at the LA Coliseum, but I can’t remember which teams were playing. My best guess is it was when he was with Santos.
