I just acquired Paul Argney through free agency.
Argney is a young goaltender (2006) who won best goalie at the last U17 WC.
Less importantly for football, but much more for me, he’s one of my former students.
As some of you may know, I work as “school counselor” in a school specialized in football. We’ve had many pro footballers that came through our school, male or female.
Argney has a real shot at becoming a top goalie, so that bid was “justified”, but yeah it is quite something for me to bid for a guy I knew as a 10 year old.
He came with his golden glove trophy last year to visit our current kids. A very nice guy.
I have a few other names of former students that might break through but I’ll keep them silent until we know if they blow out or not.
Wow, congrats evilo!
Thanks!
Well it’s more congrats to him!
Cool. You should start him for Palmeiras the rest of the season to get his feet wet. I’m sure you thought of that already though. You wouldn’t let one of your former students ride the bench for 3 seasons then release him.
Haha, he’ll be treated like everyone else !
awesome
This is pretty dope.
Oh wow, thatโs great. Thanks for sharing mate. Hopefully youโll get some more of your former students down the road.
I also told Zizou I had a former student who’s in FM who wanted to join as GM when there’s an opening.
Wow that is cool bro. Hoping for the best for him!

This is really great. Adding a personal element to liga is a really neat twist on things as usual. I know E and Z7 prob know a couple of lads personally (although I don’t either would bid on any of them. Well, on second thought, I prob wouldn’t put it past Zooka. ๐) But your story is unique, so I hope it works out for both of you. Best of luck to him!
