Season 22 Roll Call

Next season will be exciting. There will be new additions like expanding the number of subs + the size of the bench. We are also in discussion over some additional modifications to make for next season and beyond. Plus, the end of every season and the start of the real offseason is always exciting. So these are definitely exciting times.

But the big thing is that the prospect of new owners joining us is upon us. So please let me know if anyone is looking to make a change. If everyone is still on board, then we will be entertaining, for the first time in our league’s history, the possible expansion of Dynasty by 2 to 16. That would be amazing, IMO, but if anyone is looking to call it, there are new owners waiting and wanting to take over. No pressure. If you do, please reach out to me privately first.

I’m definitely in.

Excited at the prospect of having more teams in the league. More competition couldn’t hurt. Will there be an expansion draft of some sort? We should figure that out before the transfer window before we need to release/promote players.

I have another proposal for Championship. Didn’t want to post a poll before getting the green light from the “Board” 😉

So as you guys know that we currently have a rule that Championship teams should be European based teams that are outside the top 75 list of club coefficients (UEFA). I wanted to propose an alternative: A Championship team should be selected from any league outside the top 5 European leagues (EPL, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga).

If someone wants to keep the current criteria, then we can have a hybrid system where we have a team from the top 5 leagues but they have to be outside the top 75 in club coefficients.

Unfortunately I will have to step out.

I must admit I haven’t been a good owner the past 2 years. I have prepared my list for free agency but my life with 3 young kids + very demanding job + coaching is not allowing me put the necessary effort to enjoy this great league. It saddens me because there are so many kids I picked up which I’m excited to see how they grow for me.

I may come back in a few years. It’s been a blast for me since I joined. Thanks for everyone making this league what it is. The quality of owners have increased year after year.

Good luck everyone. Maybe now Evilo might be able to get Cherki 😉

Btw Z, I’ll once again ask to consider expanding U21 rosters. I know a few GMs agree and I’m sure some don’t, which is fine.
But I feel like :
1/ it rewards GM who follow leagues everywhere instead of EPL only.
2/ it can be a great way to take a poor team and make it progress because you’re taking small bids on young players without much hype.

The current system penalises GMs who are good at detecting young talents.
That’s how I see it, and others can fully see it the other way around.
