So a lot of my players got moves to Saudi Arabia (sadly), but I was curious to know exactly how many of my players moved and how much money was spent on them. Anyhow, the list got so long I just made an excel sheet of it. All the gray portions are for loan deals.

                I love your spreadsheet, Xavi.

I was wrong about Saudi not going after young players anymore. That was certainly the wrong impression.

Hope you don’t mind that I steal your template, Xavi 😉

Not too bad in terms of transfer fees (wasn’t blessed with too much Saudi money unfortunately) and happy with some moves:

                    – Neto: obviously biased here, but I think he could really be a good signing if he stays fit
                    – Chiesa: could thrive at a team like Liverpool
                    – Guirassy: a move to Dortmund could boost his rep a bit especially with UCL football
                    – Vermeeren: wasn’t thrilled about his Atlético move and glad he can get an opportunity at Leipzig
                    – Ouédraogo: if he stays fit, he can take that next step up at Leipzig
                    – Gruda: a team like Brighton can be the perfect launching pad to a big team. The EPL (and world) will finally see more of him
                    – Wanner: underrated move to Heidenheim who will be playing in Europe (against Chelsea in fact!). BlueCo will go nuts next summer lol

                    Not so happy with:

                    – Zouma: moving to Saudi before you’re 30
                    – Haller: Léganes…really?
                    – Dendoncker: already back to your old stomping grounds….could be good for playing time, but that’s not career progression

Other loan moves aren’t super exciting but they should get playing time.

I was literally going to make this thread, just without the transfer fees, days before this was posted. Very interesting to see where players moved, especially younger players.

With regards to fees I think I’m close to 400 million, though with some of the rumored moves it could have well exceeded 500 million. That said, I almost would rather be in a position where moves were minimized because then the players I have are probably already at or near the top.

Yeah, I think it was less of a headline this Summer, but still some significant moves such that a lot of us got hit. I wonder if some of us are even aware of some of the moves. For example, Simakan went to f’ing Saudi after the European window closed.

Reworked my roster spreadsheet for this purpose.

                        Note:

                        – Someone please help separate Rabiot from his mother
                        – Eric García is a quality defender. Barca quality? Well, he’s better than Christensen anyway. Happy that he returned to the club.
                        – Happy that Xavi Simons got another loan to return to Leipzig but I’m hoping a club buys him outright after this season
                        – Douglas Luiz wasn’t listed amongst Xavi’s players and should’ve been since he owns him and is only on my roster on loan (for now). So I listed him on my spreadsheet.
                        – As an aside, yellow denotes players I’m shopping.
