Croatia are just doing the basics well. One touch football and creating chances. Nothing spectacular, but don’t need that against Canada.
Heartbreaking to see that Belgium can’t even do this.

I feel like the football gods are out to fuck me.
November 28, 2022 at 3:19 pm #8766I didn’t have my former player Fullkrug becoming German folk hero on my WC bingo card

November 30, 2022 at 2:54 am #8798The 10 minutes of time added on to the Iran v USA match was the longest 10 minutes of my football watching life. Too much possession given to the Iranians. Mistakes that could have resulted in an Iran goal. Please don’t let Shaq Moore anywhere near the pitch again. Haji Wright looks lost. I can’t see how this team beats Netherlands. It will take a better performance than they had against England. I can only hope and pray.

November 30, 2022 at 7:43 pm #8808So I’m happy for Tunisia to finish with a win, but I don’t see how Griezmann’s goal can be ruled as offside. He was offside when the free kick was taken but he didn’t play the ball, not even close. When the ball is headed by the defender, Griezmann is back onside. I don’t get it.
November 30, 2022 at 7:50 pm #8811Given the calls all game long, it was simple the icing on the cake.
That said, DD not selecting a second LB and 0 RB for the competition bit him in the ass, rightfully so.
Terrible selection.November 30, 2022 at 9:52 pm #8812Heart-breaking for Mexico…they wasted a lot of chances and had nothing left in the tank to defend a simple goal. I feel they would give France a better challenge compared to Poland since with the momentum. Poland doesn’t look strong at all.
Argentina with the easiest last 16 tie so far. Denmark choked big time.

Terrible selection.0 RB? Didn’t he select Pavard?
I agree he went with too many CBs though…did he really need to take Disasi and Kolo Muani (regardless of form)? Even though he did take Koundé, I would’be taken Ferland Mendy and Mukiele (can play both CB and RB) or hell even Clauss (if he can take Rami to a WC and he doesn’t even play a game, then why not?).
November 30, 2022 at 11:00 pm #8814Pavard is not a RB and sucks there. And he’s full of himself. DD has finally understood this.

I’ve played him at right back all season. I have no complaints.
December 1, 2022 at 1:15 am #8816as for Mexico, they gave no signs leading up to the WC that they would get through to the 2nd round. I’m disappointed for the country. Hasta la vista Tata.
December 1, 2022 at 1:46 am #8817Straya, mate! Chuffed for the aussies… their reward is a R16 match against Argentina. Yummy
December 1, 2022 at 5:11 pm #8833I picked Belgium to win the wc. Guess that was a bad pick.
December 2, 2022 at 1:19 am #8835Group E, wow! Fantastic for Japan, gotta love them and their fans. I wouldn’t want to be the team to play them in the knockout rounds.
